Claim back your weekends.
Why spend your Saturday morning mowing the lawn when you could be enjoying your weekend? Weekends are for sports games, going out or just sitting back and enjoying your hard earned rest. At Pip's Mowing we share your passion for great lawn care. We strive for the satisfaction of looking back on a beautifully kept lawn. We'll do the hard work so you can take back your weekends knowing you'll still have the best lawn on the street.

Spring into action.
Winter hasn't been very kind to the grass this year with the dry spell and then the warm spell. Thankfully spring has started with a few showers to give your lawn a chance. Here are some tips to help your lawn recover more quickly and make the most of the current season:
Water- watering your lawn seems a bit counterintuitive considering we've had a bit of rain already but a little rain will only wet the surface and won't encourage longer lasting growth
Mow- regularly trimming your lawn encourages growth where you want it and keeps the edges under control. It also helps to clean up last seasons leaves and keeps it neat and tidy
Weeding- your lawn may eventually take over the weeds but doing some weeding now will give it a head start. There might even be some larger more established weeds that will need to be taken care of
Gutters and Drains- winter may have left your gutters and drains full of leaves and these should be cleared to allow for propper drainage and to prevent fires
Seed- rake and re-seed bare patches to give your lawn the best chance to regrow and cover up spots where you've pulled weeds
pH- test the pH of the soil of your gardens and lawn and add lime to raise the pH. Grass usually likes more acidic soil than garden beds so you may not need to adjust but it's always good to check
